Accessibility statement
Polarisk asks workers to answer health questions on their own devices, so an inaccessible page is not an inconvenience but an exclusion from a statutory process. This statement covers polarisk.co.uk, what we aim at, and what is not right yet.
The target
What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across this website. That is a target we work to rather than a certification we hold, and this statement is based on our own testing.
- Structure and semanticsOne main heading per page, a correct heading order beneath it, landmark regions, and a skip link to the main content on every page.
- KeyboardEvery interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that is never removed.
- ContrastBody text and interface text are chosen to exceed the AA contrast ratio against the dark background.
- MotionThe homepage animation respects
prefers-reduced-motion: the travel collapses and the content is presented without movement. - Zoom and reflowPages reflow to a single column at 320px width and support zoom to 400% without loss of content.
- Text alternativesDecorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology; meaningful ones carry a text alternative.
- PrintEvery page has a print stylesheet that remaps the dark theme to paper, because compliance documents get printed and handed to people.
Known limitations
What is not right yet
Listing these is more useful than claiming full conformance. If you hit one, it is a known issue rather than something we would be surprised by.
- The homepage animationThe scrolling star field on the homepage is decorative and is hidden from assistive technology, with a skip control to the written content. It reduces under
prefers-reduced-motion, but it is still a long scroll before the main content on some screens. The written page beneath contains everything the animation conveys. - No independent auditThis statement is based on our own testing. We have not commissioned an external accessibility audit, and we will say so here until we have.
- Third-party booking pagesThe intro call booking is handled by an external scheduling provider on its own pages, which we do not control. If that page presents a barrier, contact us and we will arrange the call another way.
- Downloadable documentsSome documents supplied during an engagement are PDFs generated from our own templates. Their tagging has not been fully audited for screen reader use. Ask for an alternative format and we will provide one.

Reporting a barrier
If something on this site stops you doing what you came to do, tell us and we will fix it or find you another route to the same outcome.
Contact us at hello@polarisk.co.uk, and tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge within five working days.
If you are a worker who has been asked to complete a health questionnaire and cannot use the online route, you do not have to solve that yourself. Tell your employer or contact us, and an alternative will be arranged. A statutory health assessment must not be denied because of the format it was offered in.
